Amanitare General Members Meeting 10-13th April 2007
Nairobi, Kenya

Rainbo in collaboration with the Amanitare Transition Committee convened the first Amanitare General Membership Meeting between the 10th and 13th April at Nairobi, Kenya. The meeting was attended by more than 30 participants representing 28 organizations from across the continent. The objective of the meeting was get a consensus on the network future direction, governance structures & programmatic strategy.

During the meeting, the participants elected a nine member Board Committee to assist in guiding the network to its future.

The participants at this forum took this unique opportunity to issue a very strong press statement on Amanitare’s serious concern about the slow progress in curtailing the HIV/AIDS pandemic in Africa.
